What an amazing time we are in. In these days the Lord is showing us a greater depth of prophecy and an increase in the supernatural around the world. We are in dire straits yet trusting God, aware of how much we depend on the Lord to be with us and lead us by His Holy Spirit.
When we visit our friends working in fifty-eight nations, we are called to walk them into greater intimacy with God and experience the wonders of the Lord in His beauty of holiness. While they often teach us about faith and courage in dire surroundings, we are sent to share real koinonia and encourage them to go higher together. Power evangelism happens when we release the supernatural demonstrations of power of the Lord through our love, sharing the Father’s heart, words, healings, and deliverances.
Reports abound of seeing a growing depth of revelation converge with the prayers of millions of saints going deep into intercession. The Lord is revealing the fulfillment of His heart to an ever-increasing number. It appears that in this season, with darkness and evil increasing dramatically, our Lord is needing us to increase our depth of understanding of His Spirit and His plans so we may be prepared, faith-filled, and ready to follow His marching orders in the coming battles.
Tribulations, genocide, hatred of Israel and its people, along with the greatest persecution of believers in history are all around us. The Lord is strengthening us for the spiritual battles ahead. The trumpet call is loud and clear to awaken us from slumber, to rise and shine for the glory of the Lord is growing stronger in us, His bride.
We are hearing the Spirit of the Lord lead us into deeper revelation of His words, “the joy of the Lord is our strength” (see Nehemiah 8:10), as He unfolds the mysteries of what this great harvest will look like in the coming days. The times before us are those days spoken of over the last few thousand years. Crisis is the threshold to God’s people seizing the opportunity to overcome and give the Lord more glory and honor.
The Laodicean church in the west is being shaken because “everything that can be shaken will be shaken and that which cannot be shaken will remain” (see Hebrews 12:27). We have not seen anything yet. Our peace in the Lord that overcomes the enemy must grow so that nothing surprises us and nothing stops us. The Lord is allowing events to unfold that are way beyond human remedy. We must keep our eyes on Him, not the enemy of our soul.
Our Perception of the Lord
Hebrews 12:2 “looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Our perception of who God is needs to align with who God says we are. In the parable of the talents in Matthew chapter 25, we read about the last steward who perceived the Lord to be a hard taskmaster, so he had fear instead of faith. His doubt and lack of faith cost him his eternal destiny.
“And he also that had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou didst not sow, and gathering where thou didst not scatter;
“and I was afraid, and went away and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, thou hast thine own.
“…and at my coming I should have received back mine own with interest. Take ye away therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him that hath the ten talents.
“And cast ye out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth. But when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory” (Matthew 25:24-28, 30).
Our faith is being tested moment by moment. We must choose the path of faith, stepping out of our comfort zones with boldness and courage. The time has come. Truth begets truth, and faith begets faith. The Lord will give us more, if He can trust us first in the small things.
How we see the Lord can make or break us and determine if we will be found faithful. Let us examine ourselves to see that we have a firm foundation in our perception of how we see the Lord of hosts. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you areas where your ideas are shaped by the world or by the Spirit of the Lord, “Christ in us, the hope of glory” (see Colossians 1:27).
The Great Apostasy is Unfolding
There will be many who fall away. In fact, many already have. Some fall from the spread of political correctness, others from growing weary in well doing. Others fall from crises, financial ruin, or allowing offense to take root in their lives. We must keep our eyes on Jesus, not the enemy. We are called to hold our focus straight in the ways of the Lord.
In James we see “that a double minded man achieves nothing” (see James 1:8). Whose report will we believe? The curse of an ideology leads to destruction, whether it be Islam, Chrislam, New Age, or the watering down of the gospel as in II Timothy 3:5 “holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power therefore, from these also turn away.” Effective evangelism and discipleship must be rooted in releasing the supernatural. We must know why we believe what we believe. We must demonstrate in power of the resurrection strength we have in the Lord Jesus. We must have the depth and boldness to defend our faith and demonstrate the supernatural. Continue reading
